PLOT Unique in that it's located on the borders of both Heaven and Hell, Cherry City has one of the largest and most diverse supernatural communities on all of Earth. For the past one hundred years, the supernatural factions have experienced a time of what can only be considered a strained peace - with hunters out to rid the city of Monsters, the factions have disappeared to avoid being killed. Demons, vampires and all other races masquerade as human, but now it is time to take back their city - and to be the faction in control. War has broken out, and Cherry City sits at the centre of grueling chaos. With each community of the supernatural vying for control of the city, it's no wonder that the hunters have returned. The city's witch covens have also decided to take a stand, siding on the side of that of the ungifted humans, the Mundane, as they proclaim that it is their duty as Keepers of the Balance to rid the city of monsters. Heaven too has also taken up arms, for the first time in hundreds and hundreds of years. And surprisingly, amongst all the turmoil of war, there are people, monsters included, that try to carry on with their lives, in hopes that things will one day be normal again. But that's not it. Drawn to the chaos is a mysterious faction known as the mysterious Trickster's Brigade, an anonymous group that strives to entertain themselves by bringing even more discord to the city. Led by the Trickster, the group have managed to rise above all the other factions and take over the city, toying with it like children in a sandbox. Its members hold power tipping onto the levels of unimaginable, and its unclear what their aim truly is, but it's clear that they won't be leaving any time soon.

SETTING Welcome to Cherry City, a city for the supernatural and for thrillseekers. The city finds itself in the American north-east, an oceanside metropolis with a rich history, and yet it is rife with chaos, crime and corruption. Surrounded by a diverse wilderness - forests, lakes, mountains, swamps, ruins, you name it - it's no wonder that there is a diverse supernatural population too, all collectively referred to as monsters by the human population. It is said that the air of Cherry City has magic to it, and it's no surprise, what with it being located on the borders of both Heaven and Hell. Some speculate it to also be close to the fae realm, though no one has ever really received a straight answer from a fae. This magical atmosphere has led to the growth of multiple witch covens, covens that have existed in Cherry City for several centuries now. What's more is that it seems that there is a tear in the Veil in Cherry City, thus allowing spirits of varying kinds to make their way to the city. No one knows how the tear was made, but it hasn't caused much of a problem - yet. Who knows what will happen, in a city rife with chaos and discord?

YOU CANNOT PLAY A LEGENDARY OR A TRICKSTER JSJS MEMBER GROUPS MUNDANEMade up of humans that weren't gifted with magic, the mundane of Cherry City makes up in numbers what they lack in power. Most, if not all of the humans living in Cherry City are aware of the supernatural presence in and around the city. Some are hunters, hunting the supernatural for reasons such as believing that the supernatural are blights on the earth that must be eradicated, or they're tracking down a specific creature in order to settle a score. Some hunters act as mercenaries. Need a unicorn hair? A hunter is your best bet. WITCHESAlso known as mages, witches are humans that have been gifted with the ability to harness magic. It is common for witches to honour the design of nature and to maintain balance within the natural world, and as such they consider themselves the Servants of Nature. Often, a witch is descended from another witch, and have rich bloodlines, though there have been records of a witch being born into a family of non-witches. In Cherry City, most witches belong to a coven, though there are some who work independently. While several species of monsters can use magic too, it should be noted that witches are humans that can use magic. MONSTERSThe collective term for all things supernatural that aren't witches, monsters are not a single race and are instead multiple races. They are just referred to as monsters due to the reputation of the bad monsters outweighing that of the good. The most prominent monster factions are werewolf packs and vampire nests, but it has been known for other species to band together. There are several species of monster listed in the species guide, but you are not limited to just these. Anything within reason is playable, so go wild, just remember that all monsters have some kind of weakness. HEAVEN - rewrite Angels associated with Heaven, they are depicted as benevolent celestial beings that act as guardians to humans. With the disappearance of their God, angels of Heaven are lost as to what tasks to carry out, but they still continue their role of being protectors and saviours. Fallen angels are those that do not align themselves with Heaven and have fallen to Earth, retaining only a small amount of their angelic abilities, and thus fallen angels would go under the monster grouping. Heaven is made up of angels, and nothing else. Depicted as benevolent celestial beings that act as guardians to humans, the angels of Heaven have become lost since the disappearance of God when humans were supposedly created. Regardless, they still carry on their duties as being saviours from sin. Some angels, known as fallen angels, have tossed away their allegiance to Heaven and thus their duties, and have fallen to Earth. These angels would belong in the monster category. HELL - rewrite, add more Made up of demons and demonspawn, Hell's demons worship Lucifer, the first fallen angel, and particularly enjoy tormenting the living, and have been in a war with Heaven for as long as they can remember. Demons in this group will be aligned with Hell, though since Lucifer's disappearance there has been many civil wars for control over Hell. LEGENDARIES - locked for now, don't bother writing lol TRICKSTER'S BRIGADE - NPCs A group of miscreants, the Trickster's Brigade are led by a mysterious figure known as the Trickster. While they strive to make as much chaos as possible, they are also known to help and hinder the various factions, showing no true allegiance to any one of them. No one knows who they are, what they are, or where they came from, but they seem to know everything and have a lot of power.

SPECIES At CCR, we allow you to make up your own species of monsters. However, we have decided to provide a set list of species in order to avoid awkward things such as someone making a vampire that has literally come out of Twilight, and someone else making a vampire that comes from Supernatural. Below you will find a list of the most common species in Cherry City, which will also be the most well-known species. All of the details on these species are set on stone. However, with werewolves you will be able to create separate bloodlines in which the curse of being a werewolf differs with each pack. Other than that, if you make a species on this list, you are obliged to follow the information given here. HUMANSSupposedly created by God, but no one knows for sure. Humans are weak compared to anything supernatural, but they've managed to survive up into the twenty-first century using their intelligence to form ways to defend themselves against the supernatural. While a lot of the human population of Earth don't know about the supernatural, believing them to be myths and legends, the residents of Cherry City see monsters as the norm. There are typically two types of humans; the mundane and the witches. Witches are humans that have the ability to tap into magic, but how witches came about in the first place is a mystery. WEREWOLVESAlso known as lycanthropes, werewolves are a species of shapeshifting individuals that unwillingly transform into large and aggressive wolf-like creatures on the night of a full moon. Some werewolves are born, and others are made. Those who are born can trigger their condition in several ways, but it all depends on the pack they were born into. Puberty is a common trigger, where when an untriggered werewolf starts going through puberty, the gene becomes activated and they transform at the next full moon. Other pack bloodlines have the gene triggered by taking the life of someone, be it intentionally or accidentally. These are not the only two triggers, but they are the most common. Werewolves can be made by biting or scratching a human, and if the human makes it through the illness that follows, they will transform at the next full moon. Werewolves, even in their human form, are aggressive and have hot tempers that they find hard to control. Being a pack species, they are very loyal and have a strong sense of duty to their friends and family. In their human form, a werewolf possesses supernatural strength that becomes enhanced on the night of a full moon. They also typically possess a regenerative factor faster than that of humans, even in their human form. Heightened senses are common, and they only grow stronger under the light of a full moon. Werewolf bites are lethal to vampires, acting as a poison that causes hallucinations and weakness until the vampire finally dies. General weaknesses include silver, which werewolves are allergic to and become weakened by. If a werewolf bleeds out before they can heal, they can die. A broken neck can also result in death, as can decapitation. Basically, anything that will kill them before they can heal, will kill them. Wolfsbane can burn a werewolf's skin if they are touched by it, and can cause them to become weak and feverish if it is ingested. VAMPIRESDecended from an undead being known as a revenant, vampires look and act human, but they food on the blood of living creatures. To become a vampire, a human must ingest the blood of a revenant or a vampire and die while that blood is in their system - simple as. The human will become magically revived within twenty-four hours as one of the undead. Bodies must be more or less able to function at the time of death - those who are decapitated won't magically reattach their head to their body and reawaken as a vampire. Gifted with superhuman physical abilities as well as the ability to glamour people, in which they can compel a person to do their bidding, vampires are one of the most deadly predatory species around. They have superstrength, surpassing that of werewolves, which slowly increases over time. They also have superspeed, moving faster than the human eye can see, along with having superhuman agility and reflexes. Their senses are greatly enhanced, and they can take a large amount of physical damage without slowing down. As stated previously, they have a healing factor that can heal damage done to their body in a matter of seconds, though they still feel the pain of the wound before it heals. In addition, a vampire stops ageing once they transform, granting them immortality. Vampires depend on blood to survive. If a vampire does not regularly drink blood, they will become weaker and weaker until they finally wither away and die. Regular feeding keeps them at their peak strength and speed, as well as enhance their regenerative factor. Broken necks can temporarily render a vampire unconscious, however decapitation and the extraction of their heart can kill them. Vampires are highly sensitive to sunlight and fire, which can both kill them, however, some vampires have been able to get a witch to enchant a piece of jewellery for them to wear that will grant them resistance to the burning effects of sunlight. Werewolf bites are lethal to vampires, causing them to hallucinate until they finally die. A wooden stake to the heart can also cause an instantaneous death to a vampire. REVENANTSCreatures made using very powerful and very old dark magic, there are very few Revenants in the world, dead or alive. The first generation of vampires, they are extremely old and extremely powerful, with vampires getting their abilities from the Revenants. The similarities between Revenants and vampires are so similar that most refer to Revenants as a vampire, which would no doubt aggravate most for being reduced to the level of a vampire. Typical folklore describes revenants as a shambling corpse, decaying from the moment of their rising, but that is a misunderstanding. What this folklore describes is a vampire who, throughout their reawakening, does not get any or enough blood to sate their hunger. Revenants do not require blood to see them safely through their life, but they still feel a desire to drink it. Revenants are more advanced than vampires, and as such they see vampires as a lesser species. Their superhuman abilities - strength, speed, and senses - are increased even more so than that of vampire, along with an increased regenerative factor. They are also immortal, and unlike vampires, able to survive the effects of sunlight. Revenants are able to use the glamour ability of vampires, and they are also able to use telepathy, leading them to be able to manipulate dreams and telepathically communicate with others. Telepathy for Revenants is stronger when used in a tactile fashion. Being the ancestors of vampires, they share much of the same weaknesses, though have fewer compared to vampires, and also recover faster. A broken neck can still render them unconscious, and sunlight only burns, but does not kill. Enchanted rings can nullify the burning, as it does for vampires. Revenants are still weak to werewolf bites, though the toxin cannot kill, but they are unaffected by wood. Instead, there is a herb called crownsrot that, when burnt, emits a harsh scent that irritates a Revenant and gives them a migraine and subsequently weakens then. Killing a Revenant is very difficult, however, and requires a blade made from the ashes of a phoenix or forged in dragonfire to be stabbed through their heart. ANGELSdesc DEMONSdesc SPIRITSdesc
